Easy to hang, simply screw a standard hook with a wood screw thread (available from any hardware shop) into your joist, hook on your rose, hook on your chandelier to the rose and feed the flex through the hole in the brass hook so that you end up with the electrical connections protruding betwwen the ceiling and plate, make connections and tuck into the top of the rose, slide rose plate up to meet the ceilng and secure in place using 2 small wood screws. Set up like this the plate itself does not bear any of the weight so it can be screwed directly into the plaster ceiling. The plate can be used to suspend the wieght if required.
